Duane Lee and Leland were looking around the halloween shop that had opend up down the street from the office. Duane Lee's girlfriend love Halloween and he wanted to get something to scare her with since she was wise to all of his pranks now. As they were walking up and down the isles and going over how silly the rubber bats looked Duane Lee heard a few people talking up fron at the register.
"We are having a haunted house and we would like to hang this poster in your window to advertise and we are still looking for people who would like to have a job for a few weeks make some extra cash" the blond hair kid said as he handed the orange flyer to the store clerk
"Ok ill hang it up" he said ripping strips of tape off the roll
"Excuse me" Duane Lee said as Leland followed behind him " did i hear right? you are looking for people to be in a haunted house?"
"Yes, we need some people to play demons, ghosts, vampires, zombies stuff like that" he told him " you two intrested?"
"ummm" he said looking back at his brother
"No Duane Lee we can swing it, we have a full case load right now" Leland said to his brother
"Yea but we could dress up and the girls would never know its us, we could scare the shit out of them" he said his eyes twinkliing like a kid at christmas
"I dont want to scare cheryl, you and Karrie are the ones that have this sick thing about pranking each other" he said
"Please Leland it will be fun and we make a few extra bucks, we can donate it or buy the girls something nice" he said pleading
"its only like two hours 3 days a week at night" the blond guy told them
"Allright but you owe me Bro" Leland said as they walked out with the guy so they could get all the infoe on where to go and stuff
Over the next few weeks the boys helped build the haunted house and had gotten their costumes. Karrie and Cheryl both were feeling rather neglected from their hot boyfriends and were upset with them. Duane Lee called and told Karrie to go and get Cheryl and meet them at the Haunted House on opaupau street. Squeeling as she hung up with the thoughts of finally seeing her boyfrined and going to a haunted house Karrie got in her car and headed over to Cheryls.
"CHERYL" she screamed opening her front door
"IN HERE" Cheryl called back
Walking into her bedroom Karrie saw Cheryl laying on her bed hugging a pillow to her chest. Sitting down on the bed Karrie smiled and looked at Cheryl.
"What are you so happy about? I called Leland to hang out and he said he couldnt because he and Duane Lee had to work. They always work i havent had any Leland loving and i need some i miss my boyfriend" she said
"Well i can fix that" Karrie said
"How?"
"Duane Lee just called and told me to come get you and meet them at a haunted house" she told her
"That one on that street we saw the other day?" Cheryl asked
"Uh huh, now get cleaned up we gotta go" she said pulling her up
Getting to the house Karrie parked in a straw coverd area. The two girls looked around and didnt see Lelands hummer or Duane Lee's car anywhere. Thinking they must have beat them to it they walked up and stood outfront the door of the haunted house.
"Looks creepy" Cheryl said
"Thats the whole point" Karrie told her friend turning as the door to the house opend and a man who was dressed normally popped his head out
"You waiting on the Chapman brothers?" he asked and Cheryl told him they were
"Come on in they are in the back, sorry theres no other way to getting to the back unless you go thru the haunted house" he told them and then disapeerd into a door off to the side
" i wish Leland was here" Cherl said as she scooted over to Karrie not liking being in the house
"O Cheryl look this is all paint and rubber masks it all not real, see this gargoil is strrofoam, Leland gonna save you from strofoam?' Karrie asked laughing as she put the fake statue back in its place
"Lelave me alone arent you scared?" she asked her freind
"Nah i love Halloween its my faveorite holiday. Come on lets find the guys" she said as they began to move thru the house
Duane Lee saw Karrie and Cheryl walking into the vampire room of the house. He signaled the vampires to start harrassing the girls. Watching Cheryl and Karrie try to fend off them he began to laugh. When they all flew around them and decended on the girls he heard Karrie Scream and saw Cherly latch onto Karries arm.
"Yes!!!" he said as he watched them move on as the vampires "flew" away
Duane Lee radioed ahead and told Leland the girls were on their way to the coffin room, this was his area. The house makeup artist had him all dressed up as a corsp and made up to look dead. The peopl would walk by and he was to come alive and reach out and grab them. HIs target today Cheryl.
Leland waited till he heard their footsteps. As they neared he heard Cherl ask Karrie if they could just leave now and have them tell the guys to come out, but Karrie told her they were almost thru and to wait a few minutes. Karrie stopped at Lelands coffin and peered inside. He watched her out of the corner of his eye. She turned and motioned for Cheryl to come look.
"No i dont want to, its probably gross and discusting" she said
"you have to see this it kinda looks like Leland" Karrie said
"then no i definatly dont wanna see it and think of Leland in a coffin" she said
"Ohh your such a wuss its not real i tell ya"
Leland watched as Karrie moved over and Cheryls prettly face looked into the coffin. Leland waited for a minute when she stood back up straight and was talking to Karrie. All the suddan Leland catapulted himself up out of the coffin and grabbed Cheryl. Cheryl screamed a loud blood cuddeling scream as the dead man from the coffin wraped his arms around her and sucked on her neck. getting a shot of adrinaline she elbowd Leland casing him to dounble over in pain and took off like a shot to the back of the house where she curled up in a corner. Karrie looked back at the dead man and then took off after her freind.
Duane Lee motioned for the rest of the Zombies to stand back that he was going to get Karrie himself. Karrie jogged to the back of the house worried for her friend when a big Zombie came out of no where and blocked her. Scaring her because she wasnt expecting it she screamed and kneed him in the groin. "Zombie" Duane Lee went down like a sack of mud. FInding Cherly in the back of the room she went and knelt down infront of her freind.
"Cheryl?" she asked as she coverd her head with her hands "Cheryl its me Karrie"
"Karrie?" she asked
"Yea" she said as Cherly uncurled herself and looked up but couldnt speak
"Whats wrong?" Karrie asked her friend wondering what now had scared her
"Look" she squeeked out
Karrie stood up and turned around. she came face to face with the zombie and the dead man. Karrie dared them to do anything and asked them to go get their boyfrineds immeaditally. The Zombie smirked and came up to Karrie, he placed his make uped hands onto her waist and she went to stuggle to get him off.
"DUANE LEE, LELAND COME OUT NOW THIS ISNT FUNNY ANYMORE" Karrie yelled for their boyfriends
The zombie leaned into Karrie and captured her lips with his blacked ones leaving the makeup now on her. Karrie pushed him away and glared at him. The zombie laughed and again leaned into her this time wispering into her ear.
"Gotcha Karrie" he said and the house lights came on showing all the other dead things and zombies clapping
"what the hell? Duane Lee?" she asked and saw him shake his head
"Leland?" she heard Cheryl say
"Sorry baby you ok? this was all Duane Lee's idea" he said helping her to stand
"NO IM NOT OK LELAND, YOU SCARED THE SHIT OUT OF ME FRICKEN HATE HALLOWEEN" Cheryl screamed walking out the front door leaving Leland behind
"Let her calm down and im sure she will forgive you" Karrie said rubbing his arm "and as for you Mr. Zombie, that was really good" she said a huge smile on her face
"Haha yea, im the best and dont you forget it" he said taking her hand and leading her out of the house. Karrie looked back and smirked he hadnt heard the last of her.
